“Line The Avenues” is directly inspired by songwriter Ben Wright’s grandfather and the morning he woke Ben up as an adolescent to share stories and photos from his service as a B-25 pilot in North Africa during WWII. The song follows multiple generations of soldiers and bears witness to the truthful costs of wars between nations.
The single cover art pictures Ben’s grandfather Richard Wright, alongside his plane, which he named Sad Music.
"The reasons for fighting may change, but the consequences don't. I can't help but think that’s part of why he woke me up early that morning — so I might come to that conclusion someday.”
– Ben Wright
